Welcome to Uptown Drug & Gift Shop, a familyrun business established in 1945. The proprietors are Jo Ann and Jerry Shapiro, who purchased the store from Jerrys parents in 1969. For twentyseven years, the store was located in the midWilshire area. Seeing the rebirth of downtown L.A., we decided to move our business there in August of 2004.

At Uptown Drug, youll receive the personal attention you deserve. We treat our customers as we would our family! Our pharmacy offers comprehensive medication review through an assessment of all of a patients medications. The goal is to optimize therapeutic regimens, improve medication compliance, and enhance therapeutic outcomes of the medications.

We gladly perform health screenings, offer diabetic services, give immunizations, compound those special need prescriptions, and maintain a quality stock of overthecounter drugs, sundries, and dietary supplements. We deliver to a widespread area for a small fee or no charge in some cases. If you happen to live, work, or are staying at a hotel in downtown, please call us and well make arrangements to get your medicine to you promptly.

Our gift shop is full of interesting gifts handselected for you. We carry a large selection of halfpriced greeting cards, baby gifts, Nao by Lladro, jewelry, plush gifts, mens executive gifts, cosmetics, and travel items. Remember that our selection changes regularly, so youll always find something new for a gift or personal indulgence.
